Harvesters is Now Serving Leavenworth County

The Harvesters family is growing! As of July 1, Leavenworth County in Kansas became part of Harvesters’ service area.  It was previously managed by Second Harvest Community Food Bank in St. Joseph. In talks with them, they and we decided it made more sense for us to take on serving the county because of its proximity to counties we already serve, the resources we have available and our existing media market relationships in the area. Both food banks want to see as many people helped as possible, and this seems to be the best way to go about it. 

It’s been great getting to know the new agency partners in Leavenworth County and onboarding them into our network, and we’re looking forward to getting to know our new neighbors too.
