Meet Our New Director of Community Engagement – Kristin Griffin
If you’ve met Kristin Griffin, chances are you’ve left that encounter with a smile on your face. She is gregarious and fun-loving, but also sincerely dedicated and passionate about alleviating the burden of food insecurity.
We’re thrilled to announce that she has been promoted to the role of Director of Community Engagement for Harvesters, where she now oversees our volunteer program, food drives, hunger education and other vital initiatives.
Kristin joined Harvesters in 2024 as our Senior Manager of Philanthropy – Major Gifts, where she stewarded relationships with donors as part of our Philanthropy department. She immediately fit in and became a beloved member of our team.
Kristin began her professional journey as a middle school educator, which later led to time in advertising sales. Feeling unfulfilled in that sphere, she returned to mission-driven work as a Community Engagement Coordinator for the Veterans Community Project before joining Harvesters
“What I love most about working at Harvesters is the people,” she says. “It’s pure joy working along such a fun, passionate, dedicated team to serve our neighbors in need.”
“I am most excited that my new role affords me the opportunity to work with our existing community partners and to engage new ones,” Kristin says. “Sharing our mission and all the opportunities it presents JAZZES me!”
